“'In December, The California Sunday Magazine released an issue dedicated to the world of teenagers. In the photo essay 'Hanging Out,' Magnum photographer Alessandra Sanguinetti offers a sweeping look at the ways teens across California spend time together, away from adult supervision. On the cover, a group of friends in San Jose take a selfie. To capture the photograph, Sanguinetti met the girls at a boba shop and transformed it into a makeshift studio. The striking composition frames a familiar activity in an unfamiliar way: We see only the girls’ faces on the phone screen."

What I am picking up from this picture is showing is that people are too focused on their phones to much and are not seeing the bigger picture. I think they could of made this better by taking it with a background of a beautiful sunset, showing that people would rather show other people what they are doing then rather live it. The name of this picture is "A Teenager Life" meaning that the people that are on their phones too much are teens. The lighting in this picture is very well done. I noticed that they made the girls visible but the picture that they are taking not as visible.
